Make a Difference Day - Mirabel Day

On the 22nd of September staff members from Bangarra Group volunteered as part of the The Mirabel Foundation kids day out at The Royal Melbourne Zoo.  Supporting children aged 0-17, The Mirabel Foundation is the only  organisation in Australia specifically addressing the needs of children  who have been orphaned or abandoned due to parental drug use. The kids  day out provides an opportunity for these children, who are mostly  living in kinship care with aunts, uncles, foster carers or  grandparents, an opportunity to let loose, have fun and connect with  other young people. For their carers it is a well earned day of rest.  The Bennelong Foundation first supported The Mirabel Foundation in 2006,  and has continued to maintain a relationship over the years.
